Cloth Face Mask

In an effort to do what I can during this unprecedented time, and with recent CDC guidelines recommending folks wear some sort of face covering when out in public, I've taken to making cloth masks to offer those who need them. I am offering these here on a pay what you want/can basis. If you're a healthcare worker or working on the front lines with a lot of interaction and in need of masks, please send me an email. I am making these first and foremost to donate to those with the biggest need. Selling them here is a way to cover my costs and keep up on family expenses while offering them to folks who need them.
To order masks here, select how much you would like to pay per mask and indicate quantity below. (Price includes free First Class shipping via USPS. You can upgrade to Priority or Express for an additional cost.) If you have a color preference, please indicate your top 3 choices in the notes section. I will do my best to accommodate all requests, but please know that I may run out of certain colors before I have a chance to remove them from the site. In that case, I will ship the closest option in my inventory. Unfortunately I will not be able to accept returns on masks.
Please wash all masks upon receiving them before putting them on your face, and wash your hands after handling packaging materials. We're healthy and have no symptoms of COVID-19, and I do not know of any reported cases of transmission via online ordering, but we want to encourage everyone to be as careful as possible, given the nature of the spread of this virus.
Multiple studies show that two layers of tightly-woven cotton can filter a significant amount of virus-sized particles. Per the CDC, cloth face masks are primarily intended to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by reducing the transmission from asymptomatic carriers to unexposed people. These are not medical grade masks and cannot guarantee to offer the wearer protection from exposure to the virus, nor are they a replacement for social distancing. That being said, I've tried to make the most effective mask I could with my resources, using high quality, tightly-woven cottons and a design that is intended to hug the contours of your face. I've added a flexible nose wire to increase the fit around the bridge of the nose. My standard size fits most adults, though I can also make them in children's sizes or in Xtra-Large. Let me know in the notes if you are looking for a different size, and please indicate the age of children, but know that I might be more limited in color options for these sizes. Kids small generally fits 3-6 yr olds, while kids large is for 7-14 yr olds.
